NATALIE WAY MURALS & ART
CONCEPTUALIZE
I love to conceptualize an idea (especially involving something that I’m passionate about!) and bring it to fruition. Throughout my life, and within different fields, this has been fundamental to my work.
Many moons ago, my interest in sports and for producing stories about the people involved – their struggles and successes behind the scenes – lead me to get a Radio and Television Arts degree at Ryerson University. During those years, my exciting communications work with the Toronto Blue Jays initiated a different career path and creative direction. I went on to produce a wide variety of events, marketing and communications work within the professional sports and sports medicine industries, and most recently, with my own marketing business.
REALIZE
The most personal of my creative endeavours, however, has always been in the production of my own visual art. This work has gradually become my principal focus, as I recognize the potential for exploration and creation within the vast world labeled “art“. Under the Natalie Way Murals & Art umbrella, I am free to develop concepts that combine my interests and experiences in new ways. Ultimately, the result will be a broader scope of work.
My paintings are primarily acrylic on canvas or board, although I do love the freedom to explore that my mixed media work provides!
For Murals, I paint in a combination of water-based, low V.O.C. “wall paint” and artist’s acrylics. I enjoy and welcome the collaborative process for both murals and commissioned art. By being a part of what is produced, many people feel a unique connection with the art.
This website will provide an overview of what I do and will highlight new projects and events. Thank you for visiting… I hope you return from time-to-time!
