At Water’s Edge Series – Acrylic
This series of paintings was initiated to study the interaction between fluids, gases and solids at the water’s edge. I never tire of the changing views at the water’s edge and love to delve into what makes them to unique from day to day. To view, click to enlarge and scroll if you to see the availability of pieces.
Life by the Sea Series – Mixed Media
This series was created by carving the animal shapes in acrylic medium before I paint. After I paint the background and the animal details, I add spot resin and glass shards for the wet and sparkle of the water. These pieces are very textured and dimensional. Please contact me if you are interested in anything shown. To view, click on one to enlarge and scroll.
Echos of Arbutus Series – Acrylic on Canvas or Cradled Birch
This series was generated from echos of past Gulf Island, BC boating explorations. Images of magical varieties of trees and shorelines linger in my mind long after my eyes have soaked in them. Arbutus are my favourite for their ongoing evolution, colour and texture contrasts, and how they look against the blues of the ocean. To view, click on one image to enlarge and scroll.
